Recently, I heard this statement from the pulpit “LIFE IS PAIN.” The speaker told the congregation to repeat what he had said, so most of the congregation stated, “LIFE IS PAIN.” Immediately, I would not accept that statement, nor would I ‘SPEAK” those words into existence over my life. Life is pain is a complete statement. I know some may agree, but our lives is not always consistent of pain. I know some may say that one should not take it so literally. However, Satan will take advantage of every word that proceeds out of our mouths. God’s word declares that He has come to give us abundant joy. God tells us that we will have “pain,” but to be of good courage! Jesus has overcome the world, and so we are overcomers.
I could only think that a person in the congregation was suicidal and to hear “Life Is Pain,” would had NOT provided hope in their time to hear a Word from God to activate their faith to trust God for their deliverance out of their depression and suicidal thoughts. He or she may as well allow Satan to continue to torment their mind with suicidal thoughts to end their life. We must remember that everyone may not be as strong as others, and or their faith may have not been activated to trust God in all their situations.
To state and speak into existence that “Life is Pain” does not provide encouragement but dread of life; especially for those of who are already experiencing grief, severe illness, and other severe life challenges. Many church goers and even those who study the Holy Bible will take whatever is said in the pulpit as God’s truth. If one was a gambler, one could gamble that Satan was there to make certain those who are feeling defeated will NOT received VICTORY over their right now situations.
I would have like the speaker to have said “Life can be painful at times, but we have an assurance – a promise from God that whatever painful situation that we are enduring right now, God has already delivered us out of it and it is ALREADY BEEN WORKED OUT FOR OUR GOOD ACCORDING TO GOD’S WILL.” I would have liked. No! I would have needed the speaker to provide to me the Word of God to increase my faith in God and to trust God with all that I know right now. Provide to me what I need to overcome providing hope in my right now “pain-staking” situation.
The speaker may not realize that his statement was not “SPEAKING LIFE” to those who heard it and spoke it into existence over their lives. Because if I would have spoken it, my mind set would be that my life will ALWAYS be in pain. Instead of having Faith, I would now have doubt and despair without any hope of a better life. This is one of the reasons why Christians need to know the Word of God for themselves and literally know who they are in Christ Jesus.
The speaker is extremely knowledgeable. Usually, he is an excellent scholar, teacher, and preacher. I have the uppermost respect for him. I have learned much from him. However, many take what is said in the pulpit and will not question,” is this God saying this?”
It is no doubt that we will endure various painful experiences from illness to death. Most is a life walk of continuous trials and tribulations. They are just that “EXPERIENCES THAT INCREASE OUR FAITH that empowers us to trust God while activating each level of faith as we endure and go through the trials and tribulations.” We don’t stay in the pain unless the lesson was not learned the first time.
We go ‘THROUGH-IT!”
PRAISE GOD!
God delivers us from them all when we take a stand to go-through it with grace knowing that mercy covers us. We are not deemed “UNWORTHY” as I hear this also said many times in the pulpit. We are made WORTHY through Christ’s Righteousness – His Blood. We are NOT “A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE.” Study the Word of God correctly. We were once sinners, but by His Grace we are Saved. One cannot be a sinner and God’s righteous at the same time. If we take on a mind as a sinner then we are sinners. If we take on the Mind of Christ, then we are of Christ. – Get it! It is more about us renewing our minds and begin to focus more on what is going on spiritually within us than the physical reality of what we are enduring.
Besides, God does not listen to a sinner’s prayer unless it is a prayer of sincere repentfulness. In addition, we cannot come boldly to the throne of Grace with false humility and knowing without a doubt that YOU are God’s Righteousness. Remember, God cannot and will not deny Himself meaning you – His Righteousness. We will overcome those painful experiences as we learn from them.
More importantly, we become one with Christ Jesus as we identify who He is in our lives from each level of faith that increases through our sufferings. Knowing that God is perfecting us according to His will as “Author and Finisher” of our lives. God says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, that you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy” (St. John 16:20)
The Word of God has so many promises to help us when we are enduing life’s painful situation as follow:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword… Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us…” (Romans 8:35-39)
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” (Philippians 2:13)
“If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:15-16)
“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) This scripture is not just for healing.
There are so many Word Scriptures of God’s promises that we can and will overcome by “Speaking life” into our right now severe situations by decreeing and declaring what God has ALREADY spoken.
When we “SPEAK” to our situations using what God said, we ACTIVATE God. Otherwise, God responds to Himself. God cannot deny who He is.” If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself; of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.” (2nd Timothy 2:13-14) and in Isaiah 43:26, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou may be justified.”
It is not that God is forgetful. God wants you to activate your Faith and Faith is God. Our experiences are to ONLY activate our Faith in God while increasing our Faith in God, for God is Faith. This is one of the reasons why we must endured our trials and tribulations that we become one with God being His Righteousness. Every trial and tribulation is to activate each level of Faith that God has already imputed into each of us, for “being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6). This is why “All things work together for your good.”
”I finally got it! Finally! I had to endured so many “Life’s painstaking situations” to get me to this point – not that I have “arrived” mine you, but to activate each level of faith that God has already predestine for me to be. I have finally got that no matter what I am enduring that I am to see God working in my situation. I tell ya that knowing this has given me so much peace even in the midst of my tears.
Yeah! We say it, but we do not really believe it because we are focusing on the pain and NOT the deliverance out of the pain. We focus on what we do not have instead of thanking God for meeting the need even though it may not be what we want at the moment. Even in that, God promises to grant us the “desires of our hearts when we walk upright before Him.”
Therefore, take these steps and declare victory over your life:
Repent for ALL OF YOUR SINS even those that you are unaware of. For example, God may have told you to bless someone and you didn’t do it for whatever excuse. If you are unsure that God is speaking to you, you have the AUTHORITY to ask the spirit that is speaking to your mind “DO YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS COME IN THE FLESH?” if the spirit speaking to you does not confess it, then it is not of God. Then you rebuke the spirit by asking the spirit what is its name. Your authority in Christ Jesus, the evil spirit must give you its name.
- Forgive all – including you. Reconcile relationships even if you did not feel that you were at fought. God gets the glory each time we are obedient and walk in love.
- Condemn, bind, and cut at the root all generational curses using God’s promises. Use what God says.
- Condemn, bind, and cut at the root every word that a person spoke into your life and took root.
- Always seek God’s will about your situation.
- Remember and knowing that He has ALREADY delivered you.
- Renew Your Mind by thinking more spiritually than focusing on what is physical (although real).
- Study the Word of God and seek out scriptures that “SPEAKS” to your right now situation.
- Don’t focus on the situation but God’s deliverance by standing on God’s promises about your right now situation.
- Decree and Declare – constantly “SPEAKING INTO EXISTENCE” what ONLY God has said about you – declaring the victory over the situation – no matter what you see or physically enduring.
There is Holy Scriptures that confirms the above. I will not do the work for you, for there is a blessing to seek God’s Word for yourself. It is a fellowship that you MUST experience to further appreciate the Holy Spirit as He teaches you.
Be Encourage!
