CHANGE MY BEHAVIOR

Me: Ok, I’m back. Sorry, about that. As I was saying, I know it’s not easy to listen to the truth, but people don’t have a problem, especially if they find a willing partner, connecting to you, they have a problem committing to you. Commitment takes everything in you! Temptation is so real when it comes to sex because you see it everywhere. It’s on the TV in all kinds of movies, commercials, videos, etc. It’s on the radio, billboards, the internet – almost anything that you can see advertised has people that promote it by sex. It may have nothing to do with sex.

You: Well, it’s not like we have to pay attention to all of that.

Me: True. But, guess what, subconsciously we do.

Let’s have a conversation about this question!

Me: With phrases like “back that thang up!”, “superman that ‘ho’! (yes, I know that these are older terms), and any other number of off-colored remarks that people use in the streets we can say that sex should be preached from the pulpit.

You: Say what? The stuff people say dictates what should be preached in the pulpit?

Me: Yep! I will add more to it before I take it back.

I left you hanging from the last article, on purpose. I needed to tell you something! Until now, you have been doing it your way, and not having success. You’ve been scoping out someone else’s love interest for your own pleasure. Oddly enough, after the game is over, the catch has been caught, the gig is up – you still feel unsatisfied. Did you know that you can be satisfied? Probably not, because all that you have been doing is ALL ABOUT YOU! The problem: self-centeredness. When it’s all about me, I am all that I see. (You can say that again).

Have you ever been robbed!?! You know what I mean! You have been stuck up, handled, treated and taken advantage of…by someone that you thought was your friend. Or even worse, by someone that you don’t even know! Yes, it’s a terrible feeling, isn’t it? You feel violated. You feel bound to some hurt because you can’t believe that this happened to you. It’s the same when you take a relationship that belongs to someone else, or it happens to You.

In this highly competitive world, people do not always realize what it means to slow down and make quality decisions. In our haste, we often waste! We waste time. We waste talents/abilities. And most of all, we waste relationships.

The question that we are dealing with is, “Does GOD choose our mates?” The answer is, “Yes.” But our problem is…IMAGE.
